Erika Baumann
Director, Commercial Banking & Payments Practice
Erika Baumann serves as Director of Aite-Novarica’s Commercial Banking & Payments practice, focusing on payables and receivables technology and solutions. She has over 10 years of experience in the wholesale banking space, bringing expertise from both banking and fintech vendor positions. She has worked extensively with both U.S. and international banks, vendors, and the clients of each to identify market opportunities and implement technology solutions.
Before joining Aite-Novarica, Erika was Director of Product Development at ACI Worldwide, where she led the product team for the online banking platform. She also led the user experience and design team, the documentation team, and the customer project business analyst teams, with which she helped shape the solutions and strategies for the world’s most innovative banks and retailers. Prior to that, she was a Product Leader at SunTrust Bank, managing the online delivery teams for the small-business, corporate, and mobile banking platforms. Also while at SunTrust, Erika was in the corporate and investment banking sales group, consulting with Fortune 500 companies on cash management solutions and strategies as well as implementation of new bank technologies to achieve growth and efficiency targets. Very early in her career, Erika worked in accounts payable, giving her a unique perspective as a practitioner of the technology.
Erika attended Oberlin College and holds degrees in Organizational Management as well as an MBA in Finance from Ashford University. She is active in her community teaching and playing music.
