Trade Surveillance and Compliance Technology: 2018 Spending Update
Trade surveillance technology clients desire the integration of data sources, including structured and unstructured data.
Boston, February 6, 2018 – In the years since the global financial crisis, Aite Group’s estimates for trade surveillance spending have gradually increased in response to expanding demand for trade surveillance and monitoring technology solutions. Likewise, firms’ compliance budgets have burgeoned to the point of near-generosity. In 2018, compliance budgets are continuing to follow the expansion trends identified during the past two years, but budget allocations are being consistently tweaked and redirected to fulfill the remaining weak spots in firms’ compliance infrastructures.
This report updates Aite Group’s 2017 compliance budget analysis and details the current state and future outlook for trade surveillance and compliance spending. It is based on proprietary Aite Group research as well as data collected in surveys executed by Nasdaq and Aite Group in 2015, 2016, and 2017 through the Nasdaq and Aite Group Global Compliance Survey.
