North American P&C Vendors: Partners in Claims Excellence
Vendors play a crucial role in enabling carriers to achieve claims excellence.
Boston, December 10, 2012 – A new report from Aite Group reviews the many different vendors, products, and services that help P&C insurance carriers achieve claims excellence. Based on a May through August 2012 Aite Group survey of North American P&C insurance company claims executives, the report assesses the executives’ views of and reliance on various vendors, products, and services.
The insurance claims process is manned by a coordinated team of claims professionals, all of whom are in turn supported by claims solutions vendors. These vendors play a crucial role in enabling carriers to achieve the elusive goal of claims excellence. The extent to which the many different resources work together on behalf of the claimant can dictate claimants’ level of satisfaction and, in many cases, their intent to renew with their current carrier. Vendors that can execute and manage insurance claims to the highest possible level will be rewarded.
“Rewards exist for those who learn how to execute and manage insurance claims process outsourcing for optimal customer satisfaction and competitive differentiation,” says Stephen Applebaum, senior analyst with Aite Group and author of this report. “Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s impressive success and dominant insurance market share against once better-known brands may well be the insurance industry’s best example of this.”
