Banks, Get Linked to Global Supply Chain Automation
With strategically planned global supply chain automation, banks can achieve greater customer intimacy and effective management of globalized trade.
Boston, MA, July 6, 2009 – A new report from Aite Group, LLC asserts that banks that link to global supply chain automation strengthen client relationships and can more effectively introduce new products and services to existing clients. The report, based on interviews with 19 of the top 100 global trade banks, also pinpoints winning attributes of vendors that support banks' engagement in clients' supply chain management.
"Banks' automation of functions related to supply chain processing lags their desire to support such functions for their corporate clients," says Nancy Atkinson, senior analyst with Aite Group and author of this report. "In order to better aid clients and ultimately strengthen client relationships, it is vital that banks follow through on their plans to automate key functions and interface with their clients for supply chain functions. Turning to vendors for assistance is perhaps the simplest way to achieve this goal."
The report lists the following vendors of trade finance automation systems, and provides brief descriptions of their relevant products: ACI Worldwide, CGI Group Inc., China Systems Corporation, Complex Systems Inc., FUNDtech, Misys, S1 Corporation and Surecomp.
