Analytics in Life Insurance: Case Studies Across the Value Chain
Analytics is table stakes if the global life insurance industry is to face its challenges across the value chain.
Boston, December 6, 2017 – The opportunities life insurance carriers have to use analytics are infinite, yet few are using it to its fullest capability. Life insurance carriers have a hard time quantifying the benefits analytics can provide the organization, and it is challenging to get the right traction and commitment when the return on investment is unknown or only estimated. Thankfully, carriers across the world and their vendor partners are willing to share their stories so that others can recognize analytics’ potential benefits and take the leap of faith that using analytics can sometimes require.
This report unveils case studies on life insurance analytics projects taking place at carriers. It is based on in-depth interviews, which took place from June to October 2017, with five life insurance carriers (Fukoku Mutual Life Insurance Company, Platinum Life, two Tier-1 carriers from the U.S., and one leading insurer from India) and their vendor counterparts (Atidot, Aureus Analytics, EXL, and IBM).
