U.S. P&C Insurance PAS: A Client View of People and Technology
Vendors that struggle to distinguish their software from that of their competitors must show clients how their features overcome business challenges.
Boston, May 9, 2017 – In 2016, Aite Group conducted a first-phase survey of the leading policy administration system vendors in the U.S. to determine some level of differentiation, whether technological or cultural. The survey confirmed that the software itself is largely the same from vendor to vendor, but several differences appeared in terms of the vendors’ PAS experience and commitment to improvement and innovation. But do these vendors’ claims about their people and technology have any merit?
This report, a follow-up to the vendor survey in 2016, examines these vendors from the client side to evaluate vendors’ assertions. It is based on late 2016 and early 2017 Aite Group interviews of three clients from each of the following property and casualty insurance PAS vendors: BriteCore, Duck Creek, EIS, Guidewire, Insuresoft, Insurity, Maximum Processing, and Oceanwide. This report reveals clients’ perspective on vendors’ technology and people as well as their satisfaction levels across a number of elements. It is the second in a series—find the first here.
