PAS Lessons Learned: Implementation Best Practices for P/C Insurers

Successful execution requires careful planning and effective partnerships.
/

October 6, 2022 – Implementing large core systems successfully is challenging and, arguably, the most complex technology project that insurers can execute. Since core systems are replaced infrequently, with many carriers only pursuing initiatives once in a generation, few teams have the experience and skills to accomplish these high-risk projects. Policy administration system (PAS) vendors are always investing, learning, and attempting to improve, but significant risk remains.

This Impact Report provides insight into what best practices carriers should pursue to maximize chances for a successful PAS implementation. Findings are based on Aite-Novarica Group’s direct experience as CIO and senior IT executives driving core systems replacement projects, combined with extensive industry engagement every year with companies considering, executing, course-correcting, completing, or terminating PAS projects.

This Impact Report has 21 pages. Clients of Aite-Novarica Group’s Property & Casualty service can download this report and the corresponding charts.
