Boston, July 15, 2015 – With lackluster business outcomes in homeowners products, many North American insurers are lagging in profitability and other attributes of high performance. To turn things around, homeowners products and services need to do more than catch up to current best practices. Insurers must cultivate a holistic approach to locking in high-performance gains and committing to product flexibility, dynamic sales and marketing capabilities, and customer-centricity.
Based on qualitative interviews with North American homeowners insurance execs and underwriters, this research compares insurance carriers’ efforts against homeowners insurance practices across the insurance value chain; it also considers insurers’ performance capabilities.
