Digital Transformation and Payments: Business Attitudes and Expectations

The changing expectations from businesses underline the need for digital transformation support from banks and payment providers.
/

Boston, December 2, 2021 – Businesses everywhere are moving to an increasingly digital-first environment, with most either recently or currently undertaking a digital transformation journey. This is leading to significant change in how businesses interact with payments, payments data, and their payment partners, and is affecting the struggles they face in creating a seamless payments environment. This presents a major opportunity for banks, payment providers, and emerging fintech vendors that can support businesses in this digital-first landscape.

This research looks at where the digital integration journey stands for businesses today, who they are turning to for help, and how businesses can better integrate payments into their ecosystems. It is based on a quantitative survey, sponsored by Discover Global Network, of 251 payment decision-makers with small, midsize, and large enterprises in the U.S., which was conducted in Q1 2021, and is backed up by a series of qualitative interviews with industry stakeholders.

This 18-page Impact Report contains four figures and two tables. Clients of Aite-Novarica Group’s Commercial Banking & Payments service can download this report and the corresponding charts.

This report mentions Magento, Oracle Netsuite, Sage, SAP, Shopify, Square, Stripe, and Xero.
