Director, Cybersecurity Practice

Location: U.S. or U.K., remote

 

Aite-Novarica’s Cybersecurity Practice provides research and advisory services to chief information security officers focused on protecting their companies’ assets. Our advisors have deep technical acumen in cybersecurity and experience communicating IT risk to boards and CISOs across the financial services, insurance, healthcare, and retail industries.

As the Director overseeing the Cybersecurity Practice, you will be a thought leader and trusted advisor to financial institutions, established technology vendors, startups, and venture capital firms. You will lead a team that provides actionable recommendations to our customers by producing research papers, interacting with clients, and leading consulting engagements.

The ideal candidate brings a proven ability to lead a team, solid industry expertise (six to 10 years of experience in cybersecurity at a financial institution, technology vendor, industry analyst firm, or management consultancy), proficiency in technology and business strategies, proven written and oral communication skills, an ability to formulate original analyses and actionable recommendations, and proven quantitative analysis skills. Candidates must be fluent in English (fluency in additional languages is always welcome). A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a research team through Aite-Novarica’s research process, including identification of key topics, primary and secondary research, and identification of best-in-class solutions
  • Conduct surveys and phone interviews with executives and industry experts to identify their most pressing challenges, discover best practices, and develop insightful analysis
  • Engage as a thought leader and partner with the research team to elevate, refine, and expand the research agenda
  • Edit syndicated research reports and ensure the quality of our intellectual property
  • Serve as a leader, mentor, and coach to the research team in support of their professional development and help establish their impact on our clients and throughout the industry
  • Partner with the account team to identify and pursue business opportunities
  • Meet team performance goals for content production, advisory, consulting, and client support
  • Participate in and speak at industry events to drive awareness of the practice and represent our thought leadership
